Thomas has been working in operations for nearly 20 years specializing in inventory control, process improvement, and IT projects related to ERP system improvements or conversions. As a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) he has strong controls discipline and an eye for inefficient processes. Thomas has managed the full cycle accounting process for a large publicly traded company while also focusing on the operations side including inventory, order fulfillment, 3PL management, and IT projects. Thomas has also led IT development teams with the goal of eliminating legacy systems and making client facing services real-time, and has managed procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams for a distribution company supplying equipment in the automotive and manufacturing sectors of the economy.
Thomas graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Commerce and obtained his Masters in Business Administration from the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. As Vice President of Operations at Avenue Road,Thomas is responsible for managing the logistics, procurement, and warehouse groups as his primary functions with a focus on process improvement and cost control.
Thomas is passionate about education and believes that everyone should be given an equal opportunity to realize their potential in the classroom. He was recently a member of the Board of Directors as Vice President for the Learning Disabilities Association of Peel Region and served on the Special Education Advisory Committee for the Peel District School Board.
