Alexandra Champalimaud is an internationally-renowned designer who has quickly established a reputation for developing bespoke designs of the highest caliber.
Originally from Portugal, Alexandra brings a dynamic and intellectual curiosity and an absence of pretense to her work. Drawing upon a wealth of personal experiences and professional commissions throughout Europe, Africa,Asia and South America.
As the founder of the New York based interiors-focused design studio, Champalimaud, she along with her partner and designers compose elevated environments by culling the soul and individual character of each project through intuitive application of color and texture, coupled with a seasoned understanding of the principles of classic design. Their projects range from five star hotels, luxury condos, fine dining, to private residences.
Some of her hallmark projects include: Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City, Hotel Bel-Air and Beverly Hills Hotel in California, The Waldorf Astoria in New York and Chengdu China, The Plaza Hotel in new York, The Dorchester in London, and Troutbeck in Upstate New York. In the coming months she and her team will be opening Monkey Island Inn in Bray on Thames, UK, One Waterline Square in New York and Raffles Hotel in Singapore among many others.
