Logistics Coordinator


Weishaupt Design Group is a North American based furniture retailer, manufacturer and distributor engaged in both residential and contract markets, offering classic-contemporary designs with timeless style and enduring quality.

Weishaupt Design Group is currently seeing a full time Logistics Coordinator reporting to the Logistic Manager. This is an opportunity for a dynamic professional to have daily input into global supply chain operations. Duties will include, but not limited to:

What you’ll do:

  • - Request freight quotes and determine best cost-effective provider for white glove delivery to clients throughout North America
  • - Provide paperwork and coordinate pickup of goods with carrier/consolidators for sea, air, and truck shipments
  • - Support Logistics Manager to strategically plan efficient trucking, consolidations, ocean & air freight to maximize cost savings and reduce transit times
  • - Update purchase orders in SAP with all relevant shipment information (dates, paperwork, dims, & HS codes)
  • - Coordinate all intra-European trucking and freight for AVENUE ROAD and Man of Parts to client’s final destinations
  • - Track and record all warehouse and 3PL activities using Logistics calendar
  • - Create all goods receipt purchase orders and delivery notes and provide tracking information to sales teams
  • - Verify and process all freight invoices
  • - Coordinate and process inventory transfers between all showrooms, Distribution Center, and 3PL’s
  • - Ad-hoc reporting and tasks as required

What you’ll bring:

  • - Strong transportation and logistics background
  • - Knowledge of international importing and exporting, including experience with cross-border trucking and customs procedures
  • - Strong team player with the ability to work independently and to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • - Excellent analytical and data manipulation skills with the ability to promptly identify and propose solutions to problems
  • - Experience with ERP systems, SAP Business One an asset
  • - Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • - Detail orientated is a must
  • - Ability to work in Outlook, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • - Degree or diploma in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
  • - Second language an asset
