Logistics Coordinator - Contract


Weishaupt Design Group is currently seeking an experienced full-time Logistics Coordinator for an 18-month Maternity Leave contract. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain and Warehousing, this position spans across both logistics and operations. This is an opportunity for a dynamic professional to have daily input into global supply chain operations.

Duties include, but will not be limited to:
- In tandem with local warehouse teams, arrange deliveries and installs at various client locations across North America
- Request freight quotes and determine the best cost-effective service provider for white glove delivery to clients across North America
- Support to drive efficiencies and logistical revenues and verify all related invoices
- Support freight claims with 3PL warehouses for any pieces damaged in transit and investigate furniture repairs, where possible
- Plan an initiate all intercompany transfers between warehouses and showroom locations
- Work with team to strategically plan efficient trucking, consolidations, ocean and air freight to maximize cost savings while reducing transit times for all shipments
- Update PO’s with all relevant shipment data and arrival dates, and attach all vendor paperwork with proper information (i.e. Packaged weights, dims, and HS codes)
- Create and maintain calendar events for warehouse and 3PL activities
- Create all goods receipt PO’s and delivery notes, and provide tracking to team
- Verify and process all freight invoices for all shipments
- Monitor service levels and KPI’s from 3PL warehouse partners, providing guidance on ways to provide exceptional service to clients
- Ensure physical inventory at 3PL warehouses is accurately reflected in SAP through monthly reconciliation process
- Other duties as assigned or required

Desired skills and experience

- Strong transportation and logistics background with knowledge of 3PL warehouse management
- Experience with inventory movement between multiple warehouses and experience with cross-border transport companies and customs procedures
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for providing exceptional service
- Ability to work both independently and as well as within a team setting
- Highly organized and analytical with data manipulation skills
- Superior troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, active listener, and critical thinker
- Experience with ERP systems, SAP Business One an asset
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, logistics, or similar
